BTS might have some competition as SHINee and Blackpink appear on Billboard's World Album chart

Ok, so K-pop is having a bit of a moment.

In fact, it’s having a big moment in mainstream music, if the Billboard World Albums charts have anything to do with it.

Billboard released its charts for the week ending in September 22 and BTS isn’t the only artist to appear on the list.

#KpopFTW.

BTS’s ‘Love Yourself: Answer’ is sat at first place for the third week in a row. The band’s other albums, most notably Love Yourself: Tear and Love Yourself: Her maintained their presence in the top spot, coming in at number two and three respectively.

Their Japanese album Face Yourself is no. 7.

But the boys are no longer the only K-pop game in town: NCT Dream’s mini album clawed its way onto the chart, coming in at number eight.

SHINee, who have been bouncing around in our airwaves for a while, came out with a new compilation album The Story of Light: Epilogue, and it enters the chart at no. 9 and features a new track, Countless.

The band have had a rough time following the death of one of their own, Kim Jong-hyun. He died of a suspected suicide in December.

Their touching single, Our Page was dedicated to their late friend.

Remember Me, a mini album by Oh My Days soared into the chart, making its debut at no. 13, whereas BLACKPINK’s Square up made it to the top 15, at number 14.
