'SNL': Kanye West Gives Bizarre Performance as Giant Perrier Bottle

Saturday Night Live

The rapper wore MAGA hat for his final performance.

Kanye West continued his streak of strange Saturday Night Live performances during his appearance on the show's 44th season premiere on Saturday.

The rapper appeared as a giant Perrier bottle beside fellow performer Lil Pump, dressed as a Fiji bottle, for a performance of "I Love It" featuring a video of collaborator Adele Givens behind them. The performance isn't the first time West, who directs the fashion label Yeezy, has worn a strange getup while singing the song: In the official "I Love It" music video, West and Pump perform in a corridor filled with mannequins while wearing boxy, oversized clothing.

Wes t was dressed in relatively normal apparel during a second song with Teyana Taylor, but during his final performance over the end credits, the Yeezy mogul wore a red "Make America Great Again" hat. He brought out Kid Cudi, who also starred in a sketch earlier in the night, 070 Shake and Ty Dolla $ign.

West has a history of theatrical, guest-studded performances on the SNL stage. In 2010, he performed "Runaway" with Pusha T in a brightly-lit white room while dressed in red and surrounded by ballerinas. Five years later, he came to 30 Rock and performed "Jesus Walks" while lying on the floor in a crucifixion pose before singing "Only One" and "Wolves" with Sia and Vic Mensa. In 2016 the rapper performed "Ultra Light Beams" with a cast dressed in all-white, standing before a ceiling that beamed pixellated, colored light.

Ahead of the release of his new album Yhandi, which is expected to drop Sat urday, West announced that he is officially going by the stage name "Ye" and Twitter.
